Those of us who stayed at school had a great time. We visited the local bakery each morning where most of us got a 'Mr Blobby' cake most days as well as a sausage roll - yum!
Wednesday 5th June
We went to Radipole Park and had fun playing in the park and eating our delicious cakes. Then we walked over to Radipole Nature Reserve where we fed the pigeons, ducks, swans and a few rats. One rat fell off the bridge, it was crawling under the bridge, upside down, James Bond style, when it fell down, swam back to the rocks and ate the duck food.
We also did pond dipping and caught a variety of different things including leeches, blood worms, water boatmen and fish and compared them on a sorting diagram to identify what they were.
When we got back to school, we had our lunch, went on the laptops and then in the afternoon we did some baking. We made some biscuits which were tasty.
Thursday 6th June 2019
Our day started with a walk to the bakery again and wandered down to Greenhill gardens and down onto the beach. We made massive sandcastles, had an icecream and generally had fun. We came back to school but didn't have enough time for stopping at Lodmoor Park.
During the afternoon we made a victoria sponge cake, played Uno and Skyjo while the cakes baked.
Evie dropped her cake on the floor and it broke but luckily she had a spare slice! Phew.
Friday 7th June 2019
The rain meant we didn't walk to the bakery but thankfully Ms Colomer popped down with our order so we didn't go hungry! At about 10.30 we went to Sandworld and made different sculptures out of the sand and also had a tour around.
Alfie, Ace and Harry made 'The World Cup', Evie made 'Perry the platypus' and a minion, Corey and Bailey made a castle then flooded it.
Once back at school we watched a movie with popcorn.
All in all a good few days.
