On behalf of the team here at St John’s CE Primary School I would like to welcome you to our school website, where I hope you will find a lot of useful information about our school. We are a one-form entry primary school welcoming children from the age of 2 years 3 months to age 11. St John’s is committed to providing a strong Christian ethos which is at the heart of all that we do as a school. On Wednesday 17th December, Local Food Links will be serving their Christmas Dinner at St John's. The meal is available for all pupils to order, for anyone who is not eligible for Free School Meals, the cost is £2.70. If you would like to order a Christmas meal, please do so by midnight on Wednesday 10th December!
Cake Sale We will be holding another cake sale today, 9th December from 3pm in the school hall. Please do come with some change and buy a cake.
Reminder - We will be holding another cake sale today, Monday 8th December, from 3pm in the school hall. Please do come and buy some cakes. Christmas Necklaces will also be on sale at £1.50 each, to raise funds for Year 6 River Dart.
Thank you to everyone who donated cakes, sold raffle tickets and came to our Christmas raffle and cake sale after school today. It was fantastic to see so many of you there supporting St John's. A special thank you to the parent helpers and school staff who helped make this happen, we couldn't have done it without you! Congratulations to the lucky winners, enjoy your prizes We will update you on Monday with the total amount of money raised as well as giving a big shout out to all of the businesses that donated wonderful prizes for our raffle! Tomorrow, Friday 5th December, will be a non-uniform day in exchange for cakes to sell after school. Please bring your donations to your child's classroom with a list of ingredients. Remember No Nuts please. Please remember to bring some cash with you after school to buy your child's Christmas Craft item, a hot drink or squash and cake. We are also pleased to tell you that an ex pupil of St John's will be selling some 3D printed items. Christmas Necklaces will also be on sale to help raise funds for the Year 6 River Dart visit in July. The Christmas Raffle will take place at 3.45pm. There are still some tickets available to buy. Sales close at 3.30pm We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Reminder - Year 5 Parent/Carer Celebration of Learning takes place tomorrow, Friday 28th November at 8.55am. We will be serving light refreshments from 8.45am. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Digital Leaders have started their course today, Tuesday 18th November. Over the next few weeks, they will be working through online modules to learn more about being safe online and how to champion this at school. #growingandlearningtogether #stjohnswey
Wow! what a brilliant way to end the day today, Friday 14th Nov, with 'Splat the Teacher'. A big thank you goes to all the teachers and TAs who nominated themselves to be part of this and a huge thank you goes to everyone who donated to vote for a teacher! Mrs Cast and Mr Dearden were the 'lucky' winners! Well done to them for being great sports! It was fantastic to see so much support for this wonderful charity. Teasel & Skylark are really excited to launch their first ever Children's Poetry Competition and this year's theme is Christmas Traditions! Please see the information in their post below for details on how young poets can enter.
Reminder - Tomorrow, Friday 14th November, we will be supporting BBC Children in Need. This will be a non-uniform day. Please come to school wearing your pyjamas with a suggested donation, for Children in Need, of 50p or whatever you can afford. Dressing gowns or Oodies are encouraged for warmth but please leave your slippers at home, we don't want soggy feet! No hair dye please. Don't forget to help raise extra money for this great cause, we will be holding 'Splat the Teacher' at the end of the day.
