General Information

At St John’s we are able to offer a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for your child outside of school hours.

This service is designed to give both parents and children peace of mind, knowing that your child will be in good hands while continuing to have fun and learn.

The clubs are open to children between the ages of 3-11 years old.

The clubs will not operate on INSET Days.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is available from 8am. The session costs £4 per child, which includes breakfast. The club will be operating between the hours from 8-8.40am term time only.

After-School Club

Our aim is to provide a well-rounded experience with a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, cookery and homework support.

The club will be operating between the hours of 3.15pm-5.45pm term time only. 

We have 2 sessions available;

  1. Early Session £6.00 for pick up anytime between 3.15 - 4.30pm.
  2. Full Session £150 for pick up anytime between 4.30 - 5.45pm. 

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is open every morning during term time from 8.00-8.40am.  Access is via the main school car park. When looking at the school, to the left of the blue gates, next to the bike shed, is a green fence with a gate, please use this entrance.

We are committed to the Healthy School’s Initiative and provide a wide range of healthy, nutritious options such as toasted breads, fruits, cereals and drinks.

The cost of Breakfast Club is £4.00 a session.  All sessions will need to be booked and paid for via the Arbor App. 

Please speak to the office and request your child to be added to the club as an eligible child and you will then be able to locate the booking system via 'Quick Actions' - 'Clubs'.  Please note, spaces are limited.  Your child's place will not be confirmed without payment.  We are unable to accept children that have NOT been booked in via the Arbor App.

Children in years 3-6 are able to leave Breakfast Club at 8.30am to join their friends in class.  Younger children are taken to class by our Breakfast Club staff at 8.40am.

Afterschool Club

 

Child Care Services

Activities: The club includes various activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, homework support, and structured group games. Activities will vary depending on the day and age of the children.

Supervision: Children will be supervised by qualified staff at all times. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:8 ensuring proper supervision. 

Food and Snacks: The club will offer light snacks and all food will comply with any known allergies/tolerances and dietary requirements.

Behaviour and Discipline: Positive behaviour is encouraged. If a child’s behaviour is disruptive or harmful to others, parents will be informed, and appropriate actions will be taken, which may include a meeting with the parents or a temporary suspension from the club.

Pickup and Drop-off

Location: Access is via the main school car park. When looking at the school, to the left of the blue gates, next to the bike shed, is a green fence with a gate, please use this entrance.

Authorised Pickups: Children will be released to a parent/carer or an emergency contact listed on the child’s Arbor profile and who are over the age of 16. Please inform the club leader if the person collecting is not a parent/carer.

Late Pickup: If a child is not picked up by the end of your booked session, a late fee of £10 will be charged.

Booking and Payments

Process: Bookings must be made and paid for, a minimum of 4 hours in advance of the session, via our parent portal – The Arbor App. Your child’s place in the club will not be secured without full payment in advance. Please go to ‘Quick Actions’, click on ‘Clubs’ and select ‘After School Club’. You will be given the choice of 2 sessions per day, Early and Full, you must ensure that you select the correct session to meet your needs.

A late fee will be applied to your account, via the Arbor App, for all children who are collected after their booked session. This will be charged at £10 per child.

Payment Method: Payments can be made by debit card or Childcare Vouchers.

Cancellation:

Cancellation by the Parent: Parents may cancel a booking with written notice 48 hours in advance.

Cancellation by the Club: The club reserves the right to terminate care immediately in cases of non-payment, severe behavioural issues, or violation of the terms and conditions.
