Nursery and Pre-School

Welcome to St Johns Nursery, My name is Mrs Haskins and I am the Nursery Teacher.

I have worked within Early Years for nearly 20 years and have been part of St Johns Primary School since 2019.

I am supported by a team of 3 staff members, Mrs Walters is the Nursery leader and Miss Nicklen and Mrs Sheldon are Nursery Practitioners. As a team we support the children in all aspects of their care and education whilst they are with us. Our aim is to provide a safe and loving environment where you child can thrive and grow under the care of well qualified practitioners.

We are very privileged to have access to all of the wider school resources so your child can expect to have a weekly session in the forest and access to all the large play parks within the school grounds. We attend the weekly singing assembly where we are welcomed by the Headteacher, Mrs Aze, and the children from reception through to year 6. Our Lunch club is enjoyed in the school hall with the Reception class and if you wish, your child can enjoy a hot lunch prepared in the school kitchen.

We offer sessions every morning from 8.45am-11.45am and every afternoon from 12.15pm-3.15pm. Session are covered by 2year funding, 3year funding and 30 hour funding, or charge at £12.75 depending on your wishes or government entitlement. If you require childcare for a full day you can add a lunch club at a small charge of £2.12 to cover the time between 11.45am-12.15pm.

Our spaces fill up very quickly and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
