St. John’s CE Primary School enjoys very close links with the parish church of St. John’s. We attend the church for worship on occasions throughout the year.

Reverend Tom Coopey is the vicar at St. John’s Church.
As a Church of England School a daily act of collective worship is an important part of our every day school life. This is led by members of school staff, the children and members of the church team including Reverend Tom. We gather together either as a whole school or in a smaller group to celebrate and praise, learn and reflect, followed by opportunities to put what we have learned into practice. This also supports putting our school Christian values into action.

Parents do have the right to withdraw their children from worship by informing the Head Teacher in writing.
