Arriving Late

Registers close at 9:00am. If your child arrives after this time, you will need to report to the office where the reason for the lateness will be recorded and your child's attendance in the school noted.

Absence and illness

If your child is absent, please let the school know either by telephoning on the first day of absence or ask another adult to notify us. Any absence without an explanation will be recorded as unauthorised. If you know your child is going to absent, for example a doctor's or hospital appointment, please let your child's class teacher know beforehand. Please note that after sickness and diarrhoea, your child must not return for 48 hours.

No requests for holidays in term time will be authorised. Requests for a leave of absence for any other exceptional circumstance must be sent to the Head Teacher. Attendance will be closely monitored for all children and any persistent unauthorised absence will lead to involvement of Dorset Local Authority Legal and Welfare services.
