Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today Y5 & 6 Netball Team attended an event at Budmouth. The children took part in training exercises and competed in mixed-school teams in their first ever competitive matches. They all played brilliantly! Well done!
We are currently supporting Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel event. As an extra incentive to make active journeys to school, an obstacle course was created on the playground for the children to navigate using their bike, scooter or feet! Here are just some of the photos from the day. We are pleased to say that the children had a fantastic time!
Our Year 6 Cross Country Team competed at Budmouth on Wednesday 23rd March. They all did really well and Jacob came 2nd and won a medal. Amazing!
We are inviting all children to join in with Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel between 21st March and 1st April to be in with a chance of winning fabulous prizes every day. On each day of the challenge schools compete to see who can record the greatest number of pupils walking, using a wheelchair, scooting or cycling to school.
On Friday 25th March we will set up a track on the playground for children to cycle/scoot around.
We are also running a ‘Lucky Lock’ incentive scheme to encourage more active journeys to school. This will take place every day during the event and will involve a bike or scooter in the bike shed being chosen at random to receive the ‘Lucky Lock’. The winner will need to have it unlocked by the office at the end of the day to receive their prize.
After a busy week of advertising, collecting and sorting the van is FULL and on it's way to the collection point at Castlepoint in Bournemouth.
This has been a huge team effort from everyone involved and a huge THANK YOU must go firstly, to our School Council members for the idea of collecting donations for Ukraine, secondly our school community and members of the public for their generosity in their donations as well as all of the volunteers who have helped during the week to sort the items and those who helped load the van today and finally, a very BIG thank you goes to Matt at Medisave (UK) Ltd for donating a van and delivering all of our items to Castlepoint. We really couldn't have done it with out you all!
Due to storm Eunice, we we're unable to celebrate great attendance on the last day of term as usual but that didn't stop us on our return! Congratulations to our raffle prize winners. Remember EVERYONE starts each half term on 100%, next time it could be you!
Our Student Council have decided that they would like to organise a collection for the people of Ukraine. A letter has been sent home asking for donations of items and WOW what an amazing response we have had so far! Thank you so much.
