Today we have celebrated attendance with lots of awards going to children across the school! Thank you to the children, parents and carers for supporting our drive to improve attendance.
This year we have introduced 'Whole Academic Year' awards and we are pleased to say that 5 children received a golden certificate along with a special gold 100% attendance badge for attending school every single day this year. Well done to you all!
Today we came together at St John's Church to say goodbye to our Year 6 class. We wish you all good luck in your new schools!
The rain didn't stop us from having a great time at the summer fair! A massive thank you to the PTA Team and everyone- parents, family members and staff, who volunteered their time and energy to make this a great event. We raised £899.09 including the sale of ice lollies.
Congratulations goes to Year 2 this week (3rd - 7th July) with 98.4% attendance. Well done!
As well as celebrating individual attendance at St John's, we also recognise the class with the highest attendance each week. This week's certificate (12th-16th June) goes to Flamingo Class - Year 4. Well done!
The Reception class have been reading 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley'. We learnt all about sea pollution and the importance of putting rubbish in the bin. We went on two litter picks and we were shocked with the amount we had collected!
Well done Penguin Class for helping to keep our planet clean.
We are very proud to tell you that Mr and Mrs Taylor have set themselves the challenge of The Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. They will be hosting a fundraising event at school on 24th June (weather dependant) Please come along to support if you can.
Year 4 stayed at Leeson House 24th - 26th May and enjoyed lots of various activities including pond dipping, Corfe Castle, fire pits. Take a look through some of the fantastic photographs that were taken during their stay.
Year 5 stayed at Carey Camp 15th - 17th May and took part in lots of fun activities including Archery, Tunnelling, Traverse Wall and Orienteering. Take a look at some of the brilliant pictures of their time there.
